How to make grilled cheese?

I'm craving it. but I don't know how to make it.

Ok.. so.. you get some bread.. and you put cheese on it.. then you get a pan.. and put your stove on.
Or something.
I think that'd work.

Nope, I don't know how to either. I've never even heard of it before even. xD

Take two slices of bread and butter one side of each. Then, put one piece butter-side down on the pan to cook. While that's happening, add the cheese and put the other piece on butter-side up.

Both sides should be butter-side out. This is what gives the bread the golden-brown color and prevents the bread from burning. Also adds the sweet taste.

Then you just let it cook for a minute or two then flip it and do the same. the cheese should be melted and you'll have a good sammitch.

You know I live in the UK. Where grilled cheese sandwiches don't exist, apparently. But then I bet you've never had or heard of chip butties (UK term for 'sandwhich'), and fish and chips.

Well it is a UK only term like I said. It's a sandwich made of delicious home-cut chips on two slices of bread with salt & vinegar plus whatever sauce you want ontop. Most people use ketchup/tomato sauce, I usually put brown sauce on mine.

Figured you'd find it weird. While over here it's pretty much classic british food. You can't even call yourself a brit if you haven't ate one. xD
